    About Us

CAPE HydroTek, a subsidiary of CAPE Environmental Management Inc., is a forward-thinking water technology company revolutionizing how water is managed in industrial, municipal, and environmental markets. Our proprietary water catalyst technology enhances water system performance, reduces chemical usage, and supports sustainability initiatives across a wide range of industries.

    Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Water Systems Engineer to assist with the assessment and evaluation of water systems of potential clients—whether industrial, commercial, or municipal—so we can propose our catalytic technology to improve their operations and solve typical water-system problems. Responsibilities can potentially include the assembly, installation, monitoring, and/or maintenance of our catalyst technology, as well as assessing where best to deploy the catalyst within a water system. This role is ideal for someone with a background in engineering, most likely mechanical or process engineering, who enjoys working not only in an office environment, but also at industrial-type settings with piping and systems, to solve client problems.

This position will support our growing operations, helping customers optimize their water cooling, process, and treatment systems while working closely with our internal engineering, science, and other technical staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in the design (i.e., where to deploy within a plant or water system), assembly, setup, calibration, and installation of water catalyst systems at customer sites.
    • Conduct or coordinate the taking of water samples from systems to establish baseline data and post-deployment data. Coordinate analyses with selected partners and labs.
    • Document system metrics and troubleshoot issues with guidance from senior staff.
    • Support customer onboarding and provide basic training on system operation and maintenance.
    • Collaborate with in-house engineers, scientists and others on R&D, pilot studies, and field trials, and help develop ideas to improve our offerings.
    • Ensure field activities follow safety and quality plans, and environmental regulations.
    • Maintain detailed records of site visits, testing outcomes, and maintenance activities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with preference to mechanical or process engineering
    • 1–3 years of relevant technical experience (co-op, internship, or field/lab work is acceptable)
    • Basic understanding of water process, cooling and/or treatment systems and water quality testing
    • Willingness to travel up to 50% for fieldwork and site support
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in water treatment, environmental field services, or industrial system services or support
    • Familiarity with sensors, flow meters, or water quality instrumentation

    Salary

Starting at $75,000/year, commensurate with experience and qualifications

    • Competitive salary and benefits package
    • Career growth opportunities in an innovative, sustainability-driven company
    • Hands-on experience with cutting-edge water management technology
    • Collaborative and mission-focused team environment

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
