The role will also provide technical expertise for marketing and sales activities, such as presentations, responding to technical questions and inquiries, and at various events (e.g., trade shows, conferences).

You’ll work closely with the entire CAPE HydroTek team to evaluate, scale, and support water process solutions and applications across diverse industries — including, but not limited to, pulp and paper, power generation, manufacturing, and municipal water — driving adoption of CAPE HydroTek’s environmentally advanced water solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Technical Expertise

    • Provide technical support for MATPure® and related water treatment solutions offered to customers.
    • Conduct site visits, system evaluations, installation recommendations, performance testing, and support of installed solutions.
    • Analyze and interpret water chemistry, laboratory and biological data; prepare technical summaries and recommendations.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of system designs, materials, and operating procedures.
    • Support generation of technical literature, white papers, and case studies to document successful applications.

    Customer & Industry Engagement

    • Participate in customer meetings, plant site visits, and technical presentations.
    • Translate complex technical data into clear, practical insights for clients and partners.
    • Support sales and marketing in meeting client needs and market opportunities.
    • Represent CAPE HydroTek at key industry conferences such as ACE/AWWA and WEFTEC, presenting MATpure® and other technologies we offer, as well as CAPE HydroTek’s abilities for solving difficult water challenges.

    Collaboration & Growth

    • Collaborate, learn and grow, gaining deeper expertise in catalytic water treatment, antifouling and corrosion prevention, and other technologies.
    • Partner with all departments and staff to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
    • Willingness to travel up to 35% to visit client sites, conferences/exhibitions, industry events and planning sessions.
    • Take initiative to learn, adapt, and contribute wherever needed in a small, agile team environment.
    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical or mechanical engineering; or biology, chemistry or very relevant scientific field.
    • 5–10 years of industrial and/or municipal experience in water treatment, industrial systems, process engineering, and water chemistry.
    • Strong understanding of water chemistry, treatment technologies, corrosion, scaling, microbial control, and advanced filtration
    • Experience supporting or managing technology deployment at industrial sites.
    • Strong grasp of water chemistry, corrosion, and fouling mechanisms.
    • Ability to read, interpret, and summarize technical data.
    • Effective communicator with strong written and presentation skills.
    • Collaborative, self-motivated, and adaptable — able to balance fieldwork, hands-on product development, and client interaction.

    Preferred:

    • Master’s degree in a related discipline.
    • Attendance or familiarity with the WEFTEC conference and related professional associations.

    Salary:

    • Up to $125K/year commensurate with experience

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
