SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will support technical staff and project managers in CAPE’s Honolulu office. Telework will be considered on a case-by-case basis. This position will perform office and field work in support of environmental investigations and remediation projects. Responsibilities may include writing planning documents and technical reports, providing technical and logistical support, performing site inspections, collecting environmental media samples, decision making based on analytical data or field screening results, hazardous waste management, and other environmental remediation activities. Qualified personnel may be assigned quality control and/or safety duties. With increased experience, this position will also participate in project design and proposal efforts. This position requires strong writing and organization skills, a can-do attitude, and ability to meet physical demands of the job. Field work may require use of respiratory protection, standing or walking in uneven terrain, and lift/carry 50 pounds. SALARY: $50,000-$95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. TRAVEL: Travel will be required to support field work.
